I remember using EPROMs and UVEPROMs and even EEPROMs for my original 8086 based microcomputer controller (I think it might have been an SDK-86) for a mobile robot. Many happy hours spent compiling, linking, erasing, programming, testing, (crying when it didn't work), thinking , editing, compiling, linking, erasing, programming, testing, crying again.

I always wanted my own EPROM programmer. In later years I 'borrowed' one from the technicians. Somehow it never made it's way back until I retired.

Dubbie

RE: EPROM Reader Project

I hadn't realised these had become so forgotten. ... or so expensive.

Nice work to struggle through all the pitfalls.

Mark
