Nice post, it was very readable!

By you manually modifying the linker file to set up your data segments, did it cause any issues with the GUI configuration of it in

Code Composer Studio, or was it ok with it? (I've not modified my linker file manually for CCS projects before).

Excellent post.

I was not aware of the configuration options on the board, but it makes sense and has the TI standard memory structure to work with.
