Good idea to put the code on GitHub, I am doing it too by a while and I think it is the right solution for sharing, better than attaching the sources in zip format to the bottom of the post.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;blockquote class="jive-quote"&gt;&lt;span&gt;I managed to play sound in arduino and in the middle of playing the sound do something else &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;As your specific case is driving a motor while playing, I suggest to make a test instead of using a led to be 100% sure that there are no interferences due the motor magnetic field. In theory I think no but maybe helpful a out-of-the-box test. Maybe the problem, if occur, can be easily solved with a discrete component. There are many other valued member more expert than me to investigate this potential issue.
