I often have the opposite issue, where I buy something online and by the time it gets here I've forgotten what it's for!

I can sympathize.

It never fails, as soon as I get rid of something, I need it for the next project.

If I buy something and do not use it immediately, it disappears until I order its replacement.

These things just happen.
