Chris,

Very nice project! I like that you can get a sense of presence to alleviate fears and concerns when Grandma does not answer the phone.

I have been playing around with some 'off the shelf' PIR boards, mostly for lighting systems. My next step is to design my own PIR sensors to better control the sensitivity, minimize the footprint and reduce the cost of builds (for my client's product - high lot size than my own projects)
