BTW, the closest I came to high voltage was an IBM mainframe with 220 V 3 phase power supply. Hi Donald,

This was a great insight into the kinds of work done to such power grid systems.

There's lots of information here, and real data charts to explore. Very interesting videos too : ) I'd not realized, but I guess with hindsight it makes sense now, that some of the switching could be done this way!
