I thought about being an entrepreneur once. Then I balanced my monthly salary and great pension with my friends hectic work life/unexpected large tax bills/lack of pension, had a sleep and the feeling went away. I've been fine ever since.

well i joined a small scale embedded systems industry...and i need to clear some doubts...

How to use i2c concept in cube suit plus(This is developed by renesas controller industry) with code generator....please any one tell me that steps to code generates for i2c...And another one how can i get live gps data per second using sim868...now it's take minimum 5 seconds to get the data....

I believe that a good part of becoming has to do with putting the time into learning. When I see someone who is self educating, always reading and studying a subject of interest I know that there is potential in this person to be an entrepreneur. The next step is to find a niche where you can apply your skills or knowledge to providing something that a lot of people need or at least think they need. The best niches provide items or services that are not easily duplicated by copycats. Finally you must have perseverance so that you give your endeavor time to grow and mature.

Becoming an entrepreneur is easy, just try to take something to market.

Becoming a successful entrepreneur is a different story. Almost all successful entrepreneurs have failed in the past, but are driven to succeed and will keep trying and learning from mistakes.

To go from nothing to something big almost always requires help. To get help requires convincing others to sacrifice, which takes extreme confidence and salesmanship. The people that help are also looking to profit from helping, but every stakeholder will want a disproportionate share or more than is available because they believed the sales pitch. This almost always leads to some stakeholders becoming very unhappy. The successful entrepreneur is the one who comes out of the fray reaping profits and maintaining power and control, usually at everyone else's expense. To do this usually requires a very thick skin and an ability to use people without experiencing crippling remorse.

Many entrepreneurs start out trying to be nice guys, but they either fail or they change into not-so-nice guys. It is not impossible to be a nice guy and a successful entrepreneur at the same time, it is just very rare.

If you really want to be a successful entrepreneur, be prepared for it to take a toll on your soul.

Hummmm...Go west young man. That advice was for a time long long ago. What is your understand or definition of entrepreneur?

Can you provide some details regarding your background, experience and aspirations?

Try things. Be prepared to fail, because at times you will. In fact "fail fast" is a good tip. If you're project is not going to be a success for whatever reason, its good to know this early before spending too much time and money on it. It can be tempting to hang on too long when with hindsight you should have got out earlier.
