Lucky you. Last night I got a call from my daughter-in-law saying that she had water pouring out of their dishwasher. So, this morning I went over to check it out. To start with let me just say that I hate Plumbing! I was able to quickly narrow down the problem to the drain pump (she had already address the drain filters and a few other issues). I removed the pump and managed to disassemble it enough to find some debris inside the pump housing (the impeller would rotate, but felt a little sticky). I reassembled the unit and ran a quick test, a short fill followed by a drain process. Wow! The pump worked.... for a while and then stopped. These days no one seems to have any local stock, with a lot of internet places quoting 1 to 2 weeks for delivery.

After cleaning up all of the water off the floors (I tried a couple of times to fill and drain the unit, and with the multiple removals of the pump, lots of water kept dumping out on to the floor) and tidying up, I returned the unit back into its hole (at least mostly) and I promised to rush back over when the new part arrives. Did I mention that I hate plumbing?
