For many of my blogs I upload videos to YouTube and then embed the video in my blog. This was quicker and more reliable, however those embedded links no longer work so the blogs have black boxes instead of videos. I was going to at least add links to the YouTube videos until I could get the videos properly uploaded, but I cannot edit most of the Project14 blogs. Some don't have any "Edit" button even when I have joined the group and the one's that do go have an edit button go into purgatory when edited (pending review). Some don't even have a way to join the group.

It turns out I need to join the appropriate group to edit my old material. It is going to be an exercise to figure out which groups I need to join.

Great idea on the practice blog. Nothing like doing to discover what is needed.

I'm not a person that embraces change easily. I struggle to learn so once I have a working process changing it, is usually met with opposition.

I always found the old platform hard to navigate. I was expecting that this one would be much simpler, but I found that a lot of the navigation difficulty was in some way migrated to this new platform with the addition of more navigation difficulty. Just to name a concrete example, how can I get a list or tree of all available forum categories? eevblog's forum system for instance is super simple and easy to navigate.

I suspect this is simply deceptive because of how many levels deep you have to navigate to get to them, when in actual fact everything is searchable and visible everywhere else for the most part.

If you use the search bar at the top of the site, you can find pretty much everything. If you hit 'enter' after typing in the search you have a clearer view of the filters you can apply to find content. The oval bars that appear when you enter something to search also filters it.

It's either in the action bar on the left, or under the 'more' button at the bottom of content.

Some aspects of gamification are different or don't exist (yet). This's a compromise we had to do moving away from nitrostudio's bunchball. Until then it's on your profile.

You need to 'join' groups and click to 'subscribe' or 'follow' forums and groups then you'll be notified about them.

This's still in its early stages but should be highlighted more in the members area.

I just searched for it on the community and found the link. The username of the original blogger is shown as migration user. I think once people activate their profiles on the new website, this should get sorted.
