The choice of preloading the board with CircuitPython is understandable, as they are trying to make it as easy as possible for makers, but I&amp;#39;m with you, I would rather use C.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The main reason for me is resource utilisation: reading from the &lt;a class="jive-link-external-small" href="https://learn.adafruit.com/circuitpython-essentials/circuitpython-expectations" rel="nofollow ugc noopener" target="_blank" title="https://learn.adafruit.com/circuitpython-essentials/circuitpython-expectations"&gt;Adafruit website&lt;/a&gt;, looks like the CircutPython interpreter is going to use up to about 200KB on the flash, leaving the user only about 50KB available. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Don&amp;#39;t get me wrong, Python is a great language, and it is both easy and powerful, and I have been using it since early 2000, but on a resource-constrained board like this one, if you want to make the most of the board&amp;#39;s resources, I still think C is a better choice.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;m looking forward to read about your experimenting with this board.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Fabio&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.element14.com/aggbug?PostID=4854&amp;AppID=328&amp;AppType=Weblog&amp;ContentType=0" width="1" height="1"&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
