I'm impressed that SmartiPi has already created a revision for the new Pi. When the Pi 3b+ arrived with the PoE header, I realized that some of the previous Pi 3 cases might require slight modification to accommodate the PoE header. Thankfully there's not much effort required to mod the older version.

Hi Frank,

Nice work and excellent build. This is a very practical application of the Raspberry Pi in the real world.

The SmartiPi Case is in my opinion, the best case designed for the 7" display and Pi 3. With slight modification of the back cover to accommodate the PoE header, the Pi 3B+ is the perfect upgrade.

That looks like a great setup.

Something I recall with people making audio/entertainment systems using the RPi, is the ability to power it on and off easily - could you add a few words please on how you implemented the power supply and how you turn the system on and off?
