WeDo 2.0 is great, isn't it? I was unsure about getting this or Lego Boost for my kids (now 8 and 6) but ended up getting both when bargains appeared on eBay. They both have their place. To compare the two, WeDo 2.0 is more "unstructured" free form Lego and Boost is more "make a couple of very cool models but stick to the instructions" style.

There is also the upcoming Mindstorms Robot Inventor for older kids which I believe will be replacing Mindstorms EV3.

Nice! I have a 7 yr old daughter that would love this. She has 2 versions of the Kano computer, both based on RasPi and really picked up the Scratch language pretty quickly. It's great watching the kids learn!
