Nice project. Too bad about your printer. Equipment has a knack of dying at the most inappropriate time.

Had a question about how you use the lasers. Are they fixed to center of the scope field of view and are they adjustable in the Z direction?

Also had a thought about future functionality since you now have extra IO pins. You could use a proximity detector to hold off the sleep timer while you are using the scope.

Edit - sorry, realized after I wrote this that the lasers are probably attached to the light ring so the Z would track ......
