I have a lot of GoPro mounting brackets, so I simply mix and match to get whatever mounting arrangement I need. This shows a PCB holder on a hockey puck base. They all work well with just finger tightening.

Just ordered 2 from Amazon. There was a choice between pain finish and stainless steel base for not much more so I went for the stainless.

And acting on your experience ordered some M4 thumbscrews at the same time.

Gravity question: does the angle make it harder to solder? I'd think that gravity is maybe stronger than the surface tension that makes smt components auto-position themselves?

Cool idea. I have some of these holders - I procured them as a batch. They come in handy once in a while.

We think alike! Only, I didn't think of an adjustable angle device, so used what I'm going to call the PCB Wedge..

(plastic sliced at an angle, held together with screws, and then the board holder (attached to a thin plate because my screws were not long enough) wedges in of course.

I was thinking along the lines of using a phone/tablet stand, but didn't think of combining that board holder with it!

I have the same holder and find it works well. I had to add a dab of hot glue on the end of the thumb screw to get it to hold reliable. Nice work on the 3d printing, something to consider. Thanks for sharing!
