This is a good read. I have listed some of your ideas and think I could use them for my customized patio. We have a small living room that is so small that I can't invite my friends over. My husband and I planned to create a patio in our backyard, and I ordered lumens lighting online. I found an idea online, too, that matched my preference.

Hi Gene,

This is a great project!! Anything with lighting and automation is interesting, and with the challenge of outdoor use and solar power, it's even more exciting.

I've never understood how to diffuse light properly, so it will be good to learn from your findings.

I agree, A nice deck. An interesting idea with the lights as well. Perhaps we should have a Project14 challenge on Smart Gardens, or if we have already had this, 'Even Smarter Gardens'!

Hi Gene,

What a great looking deck and back yard. It makes one want to stay home even if the authorities are telling one they have to stay home. I remember what you were able to do with the lighting in your kitchen so this will turn out great. Thanks for sharing.
