Wow, this quite a blog post for a 'quick' review. You touched on every aspect of the demo. Nice read for sure.

The number recognition sparked my interest. The incorrect 1 and 7 are explainable with the bottom bar on the one and the 7 written the 'european' way with the horizontal Center stroke. The rest seems very heavily biased. As you said, the algorithm might be too simple. But then the human brain tricks itself as well something. After growing up in Germany, trying to buy a car in Canada, my number recognition processor told me that the 21000 price tag was a really good deal. Only when talking to the sales person, it became clear that the real price of 27000 was out of our price range.

Is there any way to get the signals on the input/output pins from the demo itself? It can serve as an T&M instrument.
