Wonderful detail on pluses and minuses. I ended up buying this unit.

Sorry to see that Farnell (in the UK) no longer sell this model. The nearest is the MK710771 at £423. It has a nicer display.

Great review. Perhaps you could win the replacement model and review that when you get back from your break !

I was also pleased to see that this rather cheap instrument delivered a pretty good overall result.

Great review! Your measurements agree with my experience. I have been using the Korad/Multicomp unit for over a year. One thing I found impressive is that it is just as adept at low-current measurements as it is at high-current.

There are only two complaints I have about the device. The LED display is a nightmare to capture on video since it is matrixed. Even though it's crisp and clear in person, the other issue is how obtuse the front panel operation is. You really need to keep a copy of the manual handy to program multiple steps.

But for the price, it is a really great load to have on a bench.

Excellent review! I have been very cautious about buying low-cost test equipment assuming that low-cost meant low quality of reliability. I have been quite happy with some of the multicomp products, and this appears to be another potential decent item in their collection (although I don't really have a need for another DC Load). Well done and thanks for sharing this review.
