Great post and timely to.

We just replaced our old toaster with a toaster oven.

The plastic bender would be really useful for making all kinds of things.

My wife's father used a similar technique to cut the bottoms off glass bottles.

I think I might still have his old rheostat to control the power. Hmm, another possibility.
