They objected to the tower in Strowen, so they hid it.

What I didn't realise until now was this is also one.

No not the one at the back, the one on the left .... ie the sign.

I wonder when people first started fitting Yagi's on their homes, if they could imagine a time when they actually looked fairly invisible, in comparison to satellite dishes attached to so many homes in the UK : (

We have a few of these trees in the UK, for me they stand out more because they are TOO perfect for nature.

Others I have seen in the UK, (which I don't have a photo for) are Cell Towers on the top of buildings and they put a canvas (I guess) frame around them painted the same colour and design as the brickwork below so that you just see another room instead of lots of radiation distributors.

These seemed to be popular in California (not sure if you are there yet). Communities would complain/object to ugly cell towers, so they tried to make them less ugly. I could never decide if they succeeded or not.

I think that person needs a medal, I have a few close to my house and are ugly as sin, but mind you if I had one in my yard I would be ok with it. I like the camouflage look. I think with a bit of rework it could even look more tree like but certainly props goes to whoever thought of that idea.

I was visiting Colorado with work a few years ago and saw one of these. I didn't notice it straight away either especially as it was in an area with lots of other real trees. I've not seen anything like that here in the UK yet though.
