Looks like a virtual treasure trove of electronics and a nice project case too! The HT7039A-1 reminds be a lot of the voltage trip device (1381) used in beambots. These cute little robots might be interesting to you as the majority of them were built from salvaged components. I used to follow a lot of these cool little 'bug' sites as I loved some of the concepts behind their simple, cleaver designs. But, somehow I managed to build only one of these. Mostly because I would over complicate the designs by using microprocessors and by adding more features.

Here is a sample of the circuits used:

Let the solar panel charge the capacitor up to the 'trigger point' and the motor goes on, the bug scurries forward until the capactor's voltage drops. Simple, interesting and fun.

Good job finding and re-purposing these devices!

Interesting.

I am not sure of their function but they seem to be a small receiver that is controlling 2 SPDT Relays whose switch contacts exit on the pins.

I'm picking remote Door Opener.
