Well done John.

I would highly recommend using a self publishing company like Lulu.com.

They take care of listing your book, generating hard copy and distributing PDF files for a low fee.

I use them for my books and they are very good and I get a nice check every quarter for my sales, plus I have access to see where the books are purchased and shipped.

I can confirm the book is very readable on a Kindle Paperwhite. I added my e-mail address as a valid sender on the Amazon website by going to http://amazon.co.uk/myk and then select Preferences, scroll down and click on Personal Device Settings and then click on 'Add an approved email' under 'Approved Personal Document E-mail List'. Then I e-mailed the PDF to the Kindle e-mail address which is also listed under Personal Document Settings, and it was available on the Kindle in minutes.

I'm even more impressed now I've seen the book briefly - it's a serious masterpiece. It looks really enjoyable to read, and there's a lot to learn here.

It should be renamed really, since 50 does it injustice. It's really an Encyclopaedia of Electronic Shop Tech Tips. It's a huge volume.

Congratulations on this, persevering through writing an entire book while helping others all the time and writing your usual blogs is impressive. I hope you can find a way to charge for this hard work for the PDF version - maybe accept payments via the e-mail address e.g. using PayPal? If you already have an account, then it should be possible for anyone to send payments.

For sending across the file, if you need a way for those cases where e-mail isn't possible, box.com is handy, it is free, and no nagging adverts or anything.

Anyway, I'd like to read it too, so I'll contact you offline.

This sound very interesting. Do you have a price in mind, should someone want to keep the pdf? How expensive did the self published books get, because I think it would be pretty cool to have a real copy of your project (so it could be signed by the author).
