All I needed to do was provide the input power, up to 75 volts at 12 Amps and the module would allow me to output a digitally controlled voltage or current up to 60 Volts and 12 Amps. It's possibly well-known, but it was new to me.

It's called 'polydoh mouldable plastic' and will soften in hot water, and can then be formed by hand or tool, into a desired shape. It could he handy for the occasions when a complex bracket or filler shape is needed (provided that area doesn't get so hot that it softens the material again!).

I used it recently to join some trunking (at a friend's site, to try to fix someone else's poor workmanship temporarily).. I drilled holes, pushed the softened material through, and it acted like a plastic rivet. It's quite strong.

RE: Repurposing Salvaged Circuit Board

John,

Another nice power supply for your already well equipped shop. I really like the creativity that you applied to your build. It is good when you can think outside of the box, while you are working on making your box work.

Well done!

Gene

RE: Repurposing Salvaged Circuit Board

Very unique solution. What did you use to attach the PCBs to the bezel?

RE: Repurposing Salvaged Circuit Board

Nice solution!
