Also, you might be lucky, maybe each revolution is a convenient value, e.g. 2mm per revolution or something, so you can just count the turns or approximately rotate half-way for 1 mm etc. Not as good as proper marked dial with handles as you mention, but it might be good enough (rotating in just one direction to get rid of the sloppiness as you no doubt know).</p><img src="https://community.element14.com/aggbug?PostID=24902&AppID=300&AppType=Weblog&ContentType=0" width="1" height="1">
