Usually, you can program the scanner with a barcode&nbsp;selecting Low Frequency, Medium Frequency, or High Frequency for the two different tones. So maybe you can get up to 6 different tones [emoticon:c22324d72be24d45bf071047c6583446]</p> <p>When working with NFC card readers for payments, the reader uses&nbsp;two tones,&nbsp;the success tone and the alert tone.</p> <p>The success tone usually is a single long beep and the alert tone is usually a double short beep with lower frequency.</p> <p>One typical setup, recommended by VISA,&nbsp; is:</p> <ul> <li>Success tone: single beep with a frequency of approximately 1500 Hertz, sine wave shape, and duration of approximately 500 ms</li> <li>Alert tone: a double beep with a frequency of approximately 750 Hertz, sine wave shape.
