We knew the Pacific had been too quiet most of the summer, so you are getting the first edge of what could be an active winter season.

I purchased a whole house generator so that I would always have power.

It gets to run several times each year.

I have found it to be one of my best investments.

My power was going out so much from falling tree limbs, I got a generator. First snow here today.

You are quite luckier than us in India. If we have situation like that such as cyclone or similar then the power restoration takes minimum 3 to maximum 30 days in some areas...!! could you imagine we are in 21'st century. ? [emoticon:44a8a53ad3364ea78a16c5a3229f75bb][emoticon:84281105d9464683910b3447913acc28]...But truly element14 has quite so many people around the world to share their views...

A simple light switch - brilliant.

It might be worth bypassing the sensor circuit with a diode so it can charge while the light is on.

Such a beautiful area! We had recently traveled to Oracs Island (close to Victoria, BC) and it was a beautiful place (and provided a much needed break from the high heat of Texas).

As a next step I had planned to try WiFi instead, but it seems to also be having a lot of problems - mainly, the response time is terrible, at times hanging, when trying the built-in WiFi server examples that use a URL to turn an LED on and off.

I think I will shelve this project for a little bit while the bugs are being worked out of the new R4 libraries.

Looks like the issue is with the BLE library, as using other random libraries causes the same issue:
