Oboo Smart Cloc...en-USTelligent Community 12https://community.element14.com/members-area/personalblogs/b/ralph-yamamoto-s-blog/posts/oboo-smart-clock-battery-failureSat, 28 Nov 2020 10:52:02 GMT93d5dcb4-84c2-446f-b2cb-99731719e767:435d86ad-3810-4ca1-a398-7e08f669b945Andrew J0<p>Lithium batteries seem to fail in a bad way.&nbsp; My MacBook became a bit wobbly recently and when I looked carefully the case was no longer flat.&nbsp; It still worked and charged up ok but clearly worrying.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Mind you, the worse thing is that Apple classify the battery as a user consumable.&nbsp; But to change it you have to take the laptop to an Apple Store, hand it over for 10-12 days and they replace the battery, the top cover, the keyboard and the trackpad because they’re all one unit.&nbsp; User consumable!&nbsp; Unfortunately it seems to be the norm now and it can’t but contribute to the mountains of e-waste.&nbsp; All for the sake of shaving a few mm off the case height.</p><img src="https://community.element14.com/aggbug?PostID=10351&AppID=330&AppType=Weblog&ContentType=0" width="1" height="1">
