&lt;p&gt;I saw a lot of electric handheld fans in use at the graduation ceremonies this year. Not sure how much of it was &amp;#39;this year&amp;#39;s fashion accessory&amp;#39; though.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Perhaps could try 3D printing a basket / guard for the fan blade ?
