I am in the market for a replacement printer (mine broke [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-5ce87fbe-4f95-4046-8d2d-17af27ca1f15/contentimage_5F00_1577.png:16:16]). I have been looking at the AnyCubic 4MAX Pro 2.0 (quiet box). I am impressed in some of things that I am seeing on the descriptions, like the motherboard seems to have replaceable driver modules with TMC2208 drivers. Also a lot of the basic features seem like that are newer designs (extruder, etc.). This seems to be a new model with little to no feedback and some good reviews, but has anyone heard anything about it? If the experiences that you are having with the Mega-S scale up, this could be a nice printer. Note: The quiet part is nice as the printer sits about 3 feet from my ear (and also about the same distance from my wife's ear) and it can be quite distracting if I am really trying hard to concentrate. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I am always leery of a low cost printer.

Nice write-up/review on your new printer. It is really interesting to hear what is working or not working with other 3D printers.

Having a 3D printer has been one of the most interesting new additions to my tool set and work flow. It is so handy to be able to design/build parts for prototyping designs. I had heard so many horror stories from early adopters that I was scared off from trying a 3D printer. It wasn't until reading success stories here on element14 that I decided maybe there is a future for 3D printers in my shop.
