It looks like the bolt with the wingnut slips into the t-slot and the wingnut is loosely tightened.&amp;nbsp; Then the other bolt is tighten (bottoming on the plate) and providing clamping force to the work piece.&amp;nbsp; Your value sounds good (0.2mm) just to be on the safe side. Anyway it looks like you&amp;#39;re doing the right things in your experiments.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Incidentally, if you&amp;#39;re looking for a way to clamp a board, this is a common way of doing it with CNC/milling machines (at least for general material, I don&amp;#39;t know about PCB), that might be possible to make with a 3D printer, if they are not already available in some size to suit your machine/bed:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Basically, there are two separate blocks (shown in red), that have a staircase pattern on one end. That allows you to lift up the long red block, to match the height of the object (it doesn&amp;#39;t need to precisely match, it can be slightly higher). The PCB is green. The long red block has a long oval hole at the far end, and a T-nut goes into the groove (shown in blue) on the bed, with a thread poking out (a piece of threaded rod, it isn&amp;#39;t a bolt). The nut is fastened so that the lip of the long red block is just protruding over the PCB.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A couple of these are normally used, one on each side. The PCB should have some scrap material under it too (as you&amp;#39;ve got).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;[View:/resized-image/__size/620x411/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-9ac898ce-1f9a-442e-a5a1-7a08e5bb8020/4263.contentimage_5F00_204244.png:620:411]&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;EDIT: a photo from google images.
