To ease things from schematic to Product Links, I wrote some code for EAGLE.

Creating Product Links in a Blog Post, using EAGLE

For the Product Name column, I decided to format the text like this:

"Value - Device [Package] // Description"

Maybe for some future update we could brainstorm on the best way to change this for a future version of the Paste BoM tool (cosmetic, so low priority). For example, everything after // could be in a lighter colour, or everything between square brackets could be in italics, etc. Anyway my code is really basic, I can change it to any format - perhaps on second thoughts I should have added markup-style tags..

RE: March 2019 Site Update

That's much more ambitious than any of my 1970's Reality boards consists of a either a Z80, Z8, 6502, COP1802, 2650 or 68000!

I cut my teeth on these programming in their native assembly languages.

Back then many devices were OTP so you really hand to nail your code and designs or end up with a bin full of spent PROMs.

The fun was the journey with all of the small accomplishments and disasters on the way.

Here's a silly question that I'd thought I'd never ask.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of a spare Signetics 2650 that I can get my hands on?

Q: When is a RISC not a RISC?

A; When it is a RISC with added instructions!
