Road Test Publishing Woes

Are you able to insert the video after you've posted the roadtest review?

No - when I add the short video, it still insists that the post is too big (bigger than 96 MB)

Hm, okay so there's a functionality on the site admins such as myself can use called 'impersonate' where I can 'be' your account with your permissions and access.

As you, I edited your roadtest review, and I was able to insert a video that was 30+ MB in size without an error message.

Which means you should be able to.

But the error message you received, was from the website.

What web browser and extensions are you using? Perhaps it's miscommunicating with the site?

The 13 min video is 320 MB

I uploaded it here without problems:

When I drag the video into the review it uploads it fine, as normal, and puts it into the review.

It is only when I finally try to post/publish the review that the system complains about the size.

CS indicated I suffered the same problem. I recently went back and edited the post and it permitted me to add the video. I did chew gum, rubbed my belly and stood on one foot the first time but that doesn't appear to be the sequence needed to get past the door to publishing videos.

And if you upload it via the insert menu instead of dragging and dropping the video?

Dragging and dropping images was a viable option for embedding content on the old platform. I am continually reminded on this platform that using that method is not a good practice if you want it to work.

I will try tonight, although it seems to upload and insert the video fine, just refuses to publish the review.

In the old system I uploaded to YouTube and embedded from that link. I don't think this works in the new system - When I try to embed from my YouTube channel, I just get a link not an embedded video.

If it's not working 'the same' as inserting via the menu, that's something I'm investigating and will raise with the development team to make sure it's fixed.

It does work now, it was intermittently broken when we launched the site.

I tried the insert function tonight. It uploads the video okay and indicates it is processing the video. However that process did not complete (after a couple of hours). It had the same result as the drag-and-drop method when I tried to publish - I am not permitted to upload anything bigger than 96 MB to my "profile".
