Replies to STEM page in Members does not seem to show on homepage, member home page

the   only resolves if I first publish this bug, then edit it. But that's not the reason to raise this report.

Phil's announcement is only found if you know it exists (in members -> Documents; searching only returns it if you know what the subject is, and search for some words in the title), and replies are not on the home page, not even when you drill to the Documents tab:

    Comments and replies do not cause posts on the homepage to 'bump' or 'appear' because it isn't Verint's activity feed. The widget on the homepage only shows the originating content when it's published. Because that giveaway was created 29th of November, I wouldn't expect it to show on the homepage in December as that's not how the widget works.

    Apparently work is going on to make the front page contain ‘recent activity’ rather than content by publish date.  Obviously I don’t know what the priority it is except that site stability has been determined to be more important to get right.  On current trend, we may not see the change for quite some time - even this morning it’s been flakey.

    That's definitely a broader problem.

    Members have to subscribe to notifications, and if you default opt people into that, there are complaints that they're receiving too many messages.

    Though pages should also show at a glance the activity that's going on with the site, another design flaw of the platform is that it favours silo'd activity within groups, rather than across groups (Jive also had this problem, people also had to join groups on Jive.

    I've asked the development team if they can be more transparent with their roadmap and timeline on what they have coming up, and the information they provide in releases (there used to be regular blog posts with each release).

    I understand the frustration on this, and no one wants their efforts to seemingly go to waste. The frustration with the platform from management with the platform vendor has been similarly palpable.
