colon auto change

Whether design challenge or Road test or general reply, colon automatically pops up to different options and delete the word

Blog 1 :  Extreme challenge environment dummy

Here in video it didnt showed up but when I was writing blog, the words got deleted on entering

    The colon is used as a shortcut for inserting emoticons.

    If it is used at the start of a line or after a space character it will activate emoticon insertion mode. Hit the escape key to exit the emoticon insertion mode and continue typing.

    If you try inserting a colon between a space and a word, then it will enter emoticon insert mode and highlight any characters to the right and try to match it to an emoticon. If you keep typing at this point, you will be in overwrite mode and it will delete what was highlighted, so you need to use either the cursor arrows or mouse button to exit overwrite mode and return to insert mode before typing, just like you would with any other text editor/word processor.

    Your video appears to show expected behaviour.
