New Homepage The new 'hero' widget welcomes new potential members to the site Beneath that you'll see your profile summary (logged in) or site info panels (guest); Then there are the Featured Content panels, which look great & shine a spotlight on some of the great content we have on the site! The Events and RoadTests widgets look so much better than what we had before! Plus they not only give you upcoming events, but recent recordings too. Question of the Month gets a revamp. It's a lot more clear, plus displays buttons to guest users so they know what to do next to participate. And finally we have the lists of recent content, where we've done away with the old tabbed layout and now present all content types in the same list. It's less clicks to find what's new on element14 Community, and works a lot better on mobile. Other Changes in our 2026-3 Release We've created a suite of 44 calculators for electronics, which we'll be adding to their own dedicated area in the coming weeks. Our content team has an improved tagging tool at their disposal to help tidy up or apply new tags in bulk. The News sitemap we introduced in the 2026-2 release now includes RoadTests and Design Challenges; we're hoping these will get picked up by Google Discover for greater visibility across the web. Fixes to the RoadTest 'view entry' and enrol buttons. Layout improvements to our new homepage widgets for mobile devices. There's plenty of behind the scenes work too, but this wraps up the features you'd be interested in for this release. Verint being Verint. Behind the scenes Verint Community devs have made choices on how this should behave, and that makes it a 'core' widget feature that they need to change. They've made these decisions based on: What reporting is recorded when viewing a comment or forum/reply thread, How customers are charged for 'views' per page based on how reporting is recorded, and server load when presenting content. Verint at the moment is also in a bit of a 'development freeze' because they're jumping from version 12 to version 14 (we're on version 12) and they have recently restructured . Chaos ensues. 2. We have some elements under our control that we may be able to investigate, comment and forum replies widgets can be configured to show more or less comments, but fundamentally can't change entire behaviour. I will need to spend time investigating what we can do with those, but more importantly, look at how we can cascade that across all of our groups and applications. That being said, I do experiment with the presentation of this and it's something that I'll play with over time. Having that 'side bar' serves more than one purpose, and part of that can be to show details, metrics, and content that 'may be of interest' to you and others. I think there's no right answer to this one, but I do hear that "I want to see the content of the post, more than what I can do with it", but that visual style and language is one that needs to be consistent across the majority of the site, and we go back to the point above of "how can we cascade that to all of our groups?" that's definitely an 'us' problem.
