Want to know more about your fellow element14 Community members? Perhaps you need some input on a project, about a part, or what you're drinking to help you wake up on a morning?
Polls are a good way to do this, and the element14 Community staff use them regularly.
In the rich text editor you'll want to 'Insert' a 'Poll'
From here you'll get a useful pop-up window,
Let's make sure we've configured the Poll properly first
From here we can ensure that people voting only see the results after they've voted, or when we've decided that the poll expires. It's a good idea to set this up so that it doesn't skew the votes.
Going back to the Poll though:
You'll want to make sure that you're at least setting a question, and you're setting options for people to vote on. You can add more options by clicking 'Add option'
If you want to refer to any rich media content, or put more explanation about the poll in particular, you can do so in the Description of the poll, but since you're embedding this inside a discussion or blog post, you may not need to.
