Attention
The following project is just a DIY project and did not replace certified smoke detectors. As I'm a voluntary firefighter, please keep your home safe and use high-quality certified smoke detectors. Thanks for posting it. This study is exactly what I'm looking for!

Do I need to run the AI program on an IoT device, or can I use key factors such as CO2 and particulate levels, to infer if it's an Indoor wood fire; Indoor gas fire; Outdoor wood, coal, and gas grill; etc.?

In other words, I'm looking for a table that would look like this:

CO2 level: >2,000 PPM

PM2.5 level: >200 ug/m3

tVOC: >70 ppm

IAQ: >500

likely condition: wood fire

I made this up, but hopefully you get the gist of what I'm looking for.

RE: Real-time Smoke Detection with AI-based Sensor Fusion

Nice post, there is clear improvement that can be made to smoke detection.
