A nice write-up. Personally I am a little disappointed that the R4 Minima didn't add in a STEMMA QT / Qwiic connector for I2C (looks like the WiFi board has one) as I find these connectors very handy. It would have been recognition that these connectors (like Seeeduino's grove connectors) are very useful, in addition to using R3 shields. They could have at the very least added solder pads or pin holes for you to solder in your own. This would have added zero cost to the board.

Thus the Minima is trying to be a little too traditional, in my opinion.

Hi Shabaz,

element14 contacted me about testing one (thanks Tariq) and I expect to get one soon. I had the same thought about 3V3 interface so probably will design a shield with level conversion. I think mine will be the one with the ESP32. I plan to do a writeup so let me know if there is something you think worthwhile to look at.
