I'm thinking that the load cell might make a very useful measuring device when mixing resin.

Is there a link to where you got your from.?

Nice to see the complete thing and I'm very happy that the load cell works out OK.

In commercial designs of load cell interfaces (for high speed weighing conveyors and in store scales) I've ended up with lots of complicated filtering to try and deal with the fluctuations in readings.

A load cell with a 5kg load on it is quite a sensitive accelerometer (1gm error is 0.0002g) so the filters can by difficult. At least with your application you don't need a fast settling time. Did you do any digital filtering of the load cell signal ?
