Darn,

I've oredered one of these, already own a MEGA2560, but i'm starting to learn android dev and thought this worked with any android phone, admittedly i only read the arduino product page but still a warning about android versions would have been nice, like a sys requirements, looks like its project shelved even before the parts arrive. I didnt fancy the cynagenmod as my phone is prone to brick updated.

Not happy but thanks for the heads up or i would have pulled my hair out wondering why it wouldnt work. Must send a message to the arduino team to ask them to state hardware requirements on the product page.

The handset needs Android version 2.3.4. See http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/usb/adk.html . There are literally scores of handsets out there with that version of Android.
