Having randomly received an Arduino in the mail I had to backtrack to find out why I had recieved it. I WON IT... what a nice surprise. + I did build the talking potted plant with the Arduino... now to shrink it down.

So after a long wait there was a knock at my door today and guess what??? there was a package from element14!! inside of this package was... wait for it..... an arduino uno!!

How hard is it to ship 10 arduinos to 10 people? Hope this isn't how you do business with paying customers. If I were paying for these I would have filed complaints with the bbb. This is just ridiculous!! Bad customer service no response to emails or post. When we do get responses they are empty promises. I was told mine would be here by the end of the month and that was over a month ago. If this was a way to get us to buy more products from you I'd consider this a major fail.

so its been over a month. are the arduinos going to be sent to any of the winners? apparently there are several people who haven't received their prize.

Thanks for your emails. If you look at the Terms and Conditions (http://www.element14.com/community/docs/DOC-65965/l/arduino-anniversary-give-me-10-terms-and-conditions) we give you 28 days to confirm your addresses to us. After that point we start shipping. This is because we need to leave enough buffer time for the Arduinos to get to us.

We just hit the 28 day mark on Friday, and you should have your Arduinos by the end of the month.

Please let me know I you have any other questions.

that was on may 5th still no arduinos for anyone... over 2 months from the contest and no one has a arduino seems a little bit screwed up if you ask me. tell us we won a prize and then not send it to anyone. seems like bad pr. takes over a 6 weeks to ship one product? they should have had 10 arduinos on a shelf for the contest instead of waiting to order them until a month after its over. i hope all their future customers see how they run their business, they definitely didn't make me want to order anything from them after this experience...
