It is great that Adafruit is supporting the goals and intentions of the orginators of Arduino.

WELL DONE.

Arduino has done wonders for the Open Source community, and it is unfortunate that some have decided to exploit loopholes to bypass the originators goals and intentions.

I only hope our Asian friends are supporting them as well when they make their own copies.

Banzi said to MAKE: that Adafruit is going to be one of their manufacturers, for a subset of the boards (the most popular ones). They are also negociating with other manufactorers in different regions.

Frankly, I believe ARM Cortex M0+ is much more capable than Arduino with Atmel processors. I see others like Cypress and TI eating into this fragmented market IMHO.
