Ultrasonic Receiver Circuit

Former Member
Former Member over 6 years ago

I wish to build the Arduino ultrasonic receiver circuit in the attached photo.  The circuit is in the book Arduino Circuits & Projects Guide (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1907920250?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s03).  The author recommend your site to purchase the components for the circuit (the author dose not provide a list of components).  I do not recognize items 1 & 2 in the circuit nor can I associate them with the schematic.

Please tell me items 1 & 2 are in the circuit.

Thank you,

David Sanford

Item 1 is an inductor and there are none in the schematic so it may have simply been sitting on the bread board but not wired up to anything (Probably used while experementing other things)

item 2 is probably the 6n8 Capacitor based on its connection to the transducer on the bread board and the fact the other end of the ransducer seems to be grounded

all of the components are available from the Newark / Farnell web site to purchase

you do realize this is only a reciever, it will will require an ultrasonic transmitter to complete a usable toy / project unless your trying to pick up on stray or other ultrasonic signals in the vacinity

    hope this helps

    Peter

Thanks!   I'm building an IR/ultrasonic beacon system and the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver must function independently.
