Arduino Controlled Power Supply

Thoughts on a power supply with three relays in it controlled by an arduino to set the output voltage. Say 3.3v, 5v. and 0 - 15v.

Hi Tyler, Sometimes relays are used in power supplies to adjust the input power (select transformer taps) to the regulators so that the regulator doesn't have to dissipate too much power due to the difference…

What would the purpose of this power supply with relays be?

Each of the relays would complete a voltage regulator circuit. Say activate the one relay for 3.3v which is say attached to pin 10 on the arduino.

If the relay was simply switching the relevant voltage, then you could just bring it to the front panel as a continuously available supply. That way you could use 3.3 and 5v simultaneously.
