Polls can be set to run for a certain time like 2-4 weeks. But default is forever and most of the time become meaningless since the author long ago left the board. The the poll was a place to collect points…

Fully agree. My favourite is the Nano because it can be plugged directly into a breadboard for prototyping and then soldered to a pcb or fitted to a DIL socket for final projects.

Yes but the UNO is one of the few where you can simply replace the chip when you blow it and also use it as a programmer and pull the chip for your project board. I like it for this reason

Providing it isn't the smd version ...

I prefer the Duemilanove only because it uses the FTDI chip and doesn't have issues with the device driver.
We have all seen the frustration by new users that can't get it working because of the driver issue.
