zedboard_CTT_v2013_2_130807.pdf, Testdrive Chapter 3

I'm gone through the tutorial and all worked nearly fine.
Had the following two problems and solved them:
FIRST: http://zedboard.org/content/zedboard-problem-code-sdk
and
SECOND: http://zedboard.org/content/zynq-concepts-tools-and-techniques-zedboard-issues

Now I have an other problem. I can run the application and control it via the tera term. If I decide to press '2' and BTNR all works fine.
If I press '1' there is no reaction to pressing BTNU or any other button.
As the BTNU is connected to the PS part of the Zynq I wonder if there is an error in the zedboard_CTT***.pdf in appendix A.
I copied the code from there and changed the macro names according to FIRST.
The PL part / button BTNR works so it must be something with the software?? or not?

As long as you copied the code from Appendix A correctly it should work. Make sure that the BTNU port is configured to be an input with a 1-bit width and that it is connected to the axi_gpio modules' gpio_io_i[0:0] port. You might also check that the pin/signal definitions were copied into the system.xdc contraints file correctly.

What version of Xilinx tools are you using?

Thank you very much and sorry for my late answer.

My axi_gpio module was set to gpio_io_i[31:0]. I changed the IP Configuration to GPIO Width = 1 and activated the option All Inputs.
Now all works fine :)
