Unable to JTAG connect to Ultra96 using the Ultra96 USB-toJTAG/UART Pod

Hi,

I am attempting to JTAG connect to an Ultra96 using the Ultra96 USB-to-JTAG/UART Pod. Looking at the hw_sever logs I see jtagpoll logging activity such as "jtagpoll add node, jtagpoll change node, jtagpoll open port" indicating that hw_server is aware of the JTAG/UART Pod. I can however, connect and use the usb serial ports. Does anyone have sucess in this configuration? Is there anything specific I need to do to configure/enable JTAG?

    What specific configuration do you have?

    Ultra96v1 or v2?

    Which JTAG pod?  Some pods have 3-pin and 7-pin receptacles and you have to watch the alignment.

    What OS?

    What tool set version?

    Using an Ultra96v2, with a 4/8 pin JTAG pod, running an Ubuntu 16.04.04 VM on Windows 10 with 2018.3 tools everything works fine.

    For this version of the tools it was required to manually install the cable drivers (drivers will be OS dependent).

    Here is what was required for my install in the VM:

    $ cd /tools/Xilinx/Vivado/2018.3/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/install_drivers/

    $ sudo ./install_drivers

    Hi there,

    Along with all that, can you take a look at this post?

    Ultra96 and Click Mezzanine unhappy with Ubuntu?

    I ran into a similar situation a while ago and this resolved it for me.
