How to program MicroZed to use dual core

Question

We are trying to get a little more processing power out of MicroZed and would like to move some of the processing into the 2nd processor. We are using the LWIP and not clear on how to make both processors to work together so we can speedup the processing speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you using LwIP bare-metal, or with an RTOS (FreeRTOS)?

If possible or necessary if FreeRTOS is not able to assign tasks to each CPU core (I apologize I do not know much about the capabilities of FreeRTOS), you may want to look at using OpenAMP for a use case such as running FreeRTOS on one CPU core and Linux or bare metal on the other:

Perhaps an RTOS like Azure RTOS (formerly ExpressLogic ThreadX) is a good fit for your product? It includes the NetX network stack:
