JTAG AXI and ILA issues

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

Hi,

I have created a design for a MicroZed board (7020) with a JTAG_AXI connected to an AXI_Interconnect component that manage an AXI_GPIO componenet. Connected to the AXI_GPIO I have connected a ILA component (Monitor Type: Native).

The generation of the bitstream works fine and also the programmation of the Zynq. My problem appears when I want to send data on the JTAG_AXI and read on the ILA component. I'm able to "Open Target" but after the JTAG and the ILA doesn't appear in the view "Hardware". This view looks like follow:

   -localhost(1)                      Connected
      - xilinx_tcf/Xilinx/00...(2)    Open
        - arm_dap_0 (0)               Not Programmed
        - xc7z020_1(1)(active)        Programmed
           - XADC (system Monitor)

I'm only able to launch the system Monitor(XADC). The JTAG and ILA doesn't appear in this view and I don't know why. Somebody can help me ?

Thanks

Regards,

Snoopy

You should initialize the PS by SDK or some tcl to use the ILA, after initializing it for ex on SDK, refresh the HW in HW manager and the ILA core will appear.
