I think another alternative is to boot from microSD card:

MicroZed --> Technical Documents tab --> Getting Started Guides --> MicroZed Linux microSD Card Image Archive

That archive contains both the MicroZed 7010 and 7020 images. Unzip the appropriate version onto your microSD card and boot. Once booted, I believe you will find an "update_qspi.sh" script in the root directory that you can run that will restore the QSPI. However, I will admit I haven't done this myself in a really long time, so please let us know how it goes.
