Support files for 1x1 PicoZed-SDR

Hello

My customer has placed orders for the upcoming 1x1 PicoZed-SDR SOM along with breakout modules. They are busy with the design while waiting for the boards and we are looking for the .ucfs, ps initialization scripts etc. for this SOM.

I went onto the ADI github site to get hold of the .xdc and ps initialization scripts for the 1x1 SOM and breakout carrier. For the breakout carrier everything seems to be available, but for the SOM itself it seems like the .xdc and ps initialization scripts are still only for the 2x2 SOM (last update was in 2015). Perhaps I’m not looking in the right place, could you please advise or is this a question for the forums? I think the most important thing we need is the PS initialization script and xdc for the SOM.

Thanks & regards,
Jaco

    Hi Jaco,

The PS7 subsystem is identical between Z7035 and Z7020, so SDR1x1 reuses the ps7 initialization from SDR2x2. See below from the SDR1x1 makefile.

    image

Since the two Zynq packages are not compatible there will be some small differences in DRR3L trace lengths, which are set up by the ps7 init script. So those will be updated before we launch SDR1x1. Rigth now everything is in the dev branch and not release to tag.

THat said, we are running SDR1x1 in the lab with the SDR2x2 ps7 init and there are no problems.

The SDR1x1 .xdc for the breakout carrier are in the dev branch as well:

This is loopback of all user I/O. What's else do you need?

    /Matt

    Update

Unique ps7 init files for SDR1 and SDR2 are on GitHub and the makefiles now use them. The difference, as stated earlier, is in the DDR3 trace lengths .
